The tour desk was super helpful and helped us plan our awesome adventures around Cat Ba Island. Plus, the free WiFi was a savior, allowing us to share our epic photos instantly. And let's not forget the billiards table - we spent hours challenging each other and having a blast!
Honestly, the only thing we wished for was a better party atmosphere. Don't get me wrong, the hostel was fun, but it would've been amazing if they had organized more events and activities for young party-goers.

The twin/double room at Catba Central Hostel had a balcony, and let me tell you, the lake view was absolutely stunning! As a nature lover, this was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Personally, I found the free Wi-Fi a bit slow, but hey, some people might not mind!

I stayed at Catba Central for a couple of nights as a backpacker. The large and comfortable rooms were a steal at such a low price. The hostel was nearly empty, giving me the privacy I needed. The staff was incredibly nice, allowing me to check out at 4pm. The location was perfect, near bars, restaurants, and beaches. The beds were comfortable, and the dorm was clean. Plus, the day trip around Lan Ha Bay, Ha Long Bay, and Monkey Island for only $20 was absolutely worth it. I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!
Totally recommend this hotel.

Oh, how delightful! I had the pleasure of staying at a hostel with a wide range of facilities, including a restaurant, bar, and shared lounge. The staff was fabulous and the continental breakfast was simply divine.
The only disappointment was the non-stop serenade of barking dogs and crowing chickens. Just what I needed to lull me to sleep every night.

The staff was super friendly and helped us plan our activities. We booked tours and got travel tickets right at the hotel reception with James - he gave us all the info we needed. The rooms were clean with comfy beds and there was free WiFi throughout the property. We even had a great time playing billiards. Best place for young party-goers!
Would've loved to have a rooftop bar for some late-night fun!

The tour desk was super helpful, they helped us plan our days and even arranged a fantastic boat tour for our family. We got to discover stunning beaches and explore the beautiful islands of Cat Ba. The kids were thrilled! The free WiFi throughout the property was a bonus, allowing us to stay connected with friends and family back home. We also enjoyed playing billiards in the evenings, adding some fun to our family time.
For dads, it would be great if there were more activities specifically designed for families with children.

The twin/double room at Catba Central Hostel has an amazing balcony where we could soak in the beautiful lake view. As a party person, I absolutely loved starting my day with a cup of coffee on the balcony, enjoying the serene atmosphere. It added an extra touch of relaxation to my stay.
Personally, I found the free Wi-Fi to be a bit slow at times. However, I understand that this is just my opinion and others may not have an issue with it.

The dorm room was spacious with clean and comfortable beds. The air conditioning worked really well, which was a relief in the hot weather. The location of the hotel was convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants and cafes.
The staff were incredibly loud and noisy in the early mornings, speaking as if there were no one sleeping at 7am. It was really frustrating and disruptive.

During our stay at Catba Central, we were impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the hostel. The dorm room had stunning views of the ocean and despite its size, it was surprisingly quiet at night. The buffet breakfast included was delicious and the location was convenient, close to everything we needed. Additionally, the hostel had spacious lockers for our belongings and the beds were very comfortable with outlets nearby. The staff, although struggling with English, were kind and accommodating, even storing our valuables in their safe. We also enjoyed the restaurant downstairs, which offered tasty and affordable food. we had a great stay at Catba Central. It had its drawbacks, such as the lack of a common room and the limited social atmosphere, but we still highly recommend this hostel for its cleanliness, comfort.

I recently stayed at Catba Central for a few nights on a trip to Vietnam. The location of the hostel was perfect, as it was close to both the city center and the beach. The room I stayed in was spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I also enjoyed the delicious breakfast that was included in the price. Additionally, the hostel staff was friendly and helpful, and they even organized tours and transportation for us. I would highly recommend renting motorbikes from the hostel reception, as the bikes we rented were in excellent condition.
Can recommend this hotel.
